i moved again (this malm bed has been disassembled/assembled 4 times now....!) ... i was assembling the bed and having a tough time screwing in the headboard screws, they were screwing but not going anywhere... anyway, i came here and realized why... i forgot to take those two cylindrical things out that the headboard bolts screw into and they must have fallen out ... ..does anyone know if i can buy these somewhere? at a hardware store?? is there a name for them besides cylindrical metal things? can i get them from ikea somehow? i'd rather not have to order them from ikea as i'd like to get this together ASAP... i might just get wood filler and fill the hole and use a regular screw or something... but i've seen these things before so i was

ok not to reply to myself.. but i googled around and found that these bolts are called either a "barrel nut" or "cross dowel" ... Barrel Nut (Cross Dowel) (Shanghai Sunrise Fasteners Co., Ltd.,China)

If you're near an IKEA, you can go to the returns/exchanges department and ask for them - they'll usually give them to you for free. Lots of stores have a filing cabinet with instructions so that you can identify the exact article # for the part and then find it in the labeled bins.

If you're not near an IKEA, I've got about a hundred thousand of those things, but I'd need to know what size you need.
