Finally decided to go ahead and convert the middle bedroom (12'x13') into a FABULOUS closet, and settled on IKEA PAX wardrobes with NEXUS doors/drawers.

Here's the problem: we assembled the 39" wide wardrobe, then attached the corner unit, and realized the corner unit is only 19" deep. We can't put the next 23" deep wardrobe next to it, so that defeats the purpose of the corner unit, which was to connect two rows of frames along joining walls.

How is this supposed to work? Do we have to pull the corner unit 4" away from the wall? This throws my measurements WAY off now!

HELP!!!!

ALSO: Found a thread that suggests mounting 2x4s behind the corner unit...wondering if anyone else has another suggestion. Thanks!

I am having a PAX corner unit too. You must be didn't read the catalogue carefully when you purchase. It said, it will leave 10cm at the back of the corner unit. So the unit actually need 110cm X 110cm space when the cabinet only 100cmX110cm. You still can connect another unit. Just align the front like I do. Actually I got some funny idea for that 10cm space at the back. Cut a hole and install a slim shelf to hide some treassure jewelry there. But due to I got this idea after I done the cabinet and well align it with others unit. So actually give it up already. If you need pic, I can show you mine.
