Before and After Adel MB - 1 year later
Thought I'd finally post the before and afters of my now 1 year old kitchen remodel....before:

A year later the only thing that I changed as we lived with it was in the pantry (to the right of the fridge). It was 2' deep and for some reason we had it installed with shelves. Three months later (and lots of missing food later) we swapped those out for pull out drawers - huge improvement.

It looks beautiful! I'm so glad you are happy with it, and very happy you showed us the finished pics, thank you so much! I love the way you worked the stove area. It looks like a very minor change in the layout, but it opens things up so much.
If you have a minute, I'd love to know details about your counters, backsplash, paint, and other choices. Congratulations again!

The counter is Antique Brown granite, and the backsplash is botticino tumbled marble mosaic. The paint is Lauren's Lace -CIL. The handles are from Lee Valley Tools, and the rest is IKEA.
Strangely, I've ended up doing most of my prep work on the counter to the left of the fridge, unless I have company - in which case it's the island. And although there is a table to the left of this picture, we almost always eat at the island which has stools down two sides.

How time flies!!!! Just as beautiful as day 1. I bet your pull-outs in your pantry are far more functional.
Funny that you mentioned how you use the counterspace between your sink and frig. for prep. I use my 24" space between sink and stove all the time and never use the 5 ft. span to the left of the sink. I guess we all get into a certain groove that feels comfortable and stick with it. Good thing for me to consider when we remodel. Thanks for the reminder!!!
I am a faucet away from completing my kitchen remodel (5 months in the making). Purchased the same Adel model cabinetry as you did. Will post as soon as the job is complete. Have to say though, your kitchen is beautiful and looks as as though it was worked with allot of thought and love. Great job!
That is actually the decor molding that is sold with the Adel MB - we laid it on it's side and staggered two pieces to achieve that look. There is a close-up of it in the Modifications section on this site.
