Crockery in the glass cabinets

I've been putting off blogging and posting photos in the belief that the kitchen was very nearly finished, so no point in showing it in a messy state.
The two glass-doored cabinets are 30" wide, and it's seeming working well to have glasses in one, pottery/Corelle in the other.
Dishes absorb so much light, I should have thought to install an extra light partway down the cabinet.
Ceiling lighting is making me wish I'd opted for cans. Inexpensive Craftsman fixtures from Restoration Hardware turned out to have such yellow glass, that these flushmounts would be at home on the porch, where they wouldn't attract insects.
Cutting three Statlig oak shelves into toekick pieces for the pantry cabinets flanking the fridge worked nicely
