Ikea coming to Centennial, CO 15 miles south of Denver

Timeline:
  • 12 months for the city to approve plans and allow groundbreaking, according to Centennial city hall
  • 18 months to build store, according to IKEA US management

Return trip to Draper, UT Ikea

Well the 3 month return period was upon us, so we decided to do the gut-run r/t to Draper, UT this past weekend. 1060 miles later and $1200 in return credit, we are back with things to complete our kitchen.

Countertops installation - Round 2

After several phone calls and emails we got the installer to come back out and re-measure for the island to get square corners to match the rest of the counters and re-measure for the botched sill. After that we decided to not to pull up the counters and risk damaging our cabinets, floor, or counters....

What a fiasco the countertop installation has been. Overall we love the look and low maintenance of Ceasarstone in Raven color, but the installation process has been plagued by mishaps.
