Farewell, Inspector

On June 20, 2011 we sent the Inspector on ahead and thanked her for her many years of loyal service. I have it on good authority that she is spending her After life preventing people from crossing the bridge, barking at those who dare to flout her authority, and otherwise impeding progress just as she did in her physical lifetime.
I cannot look around this kitchen without every inch of it bringing back memories of how she had her nose into every little bit of progress, and how she helped me open each box of building material with great interest and enthusiasm. It grieves me to think that no one will be here to bark furiously when I use my little electric screwdriver in the future. She was my sun and stars.
Farewell, little Inspector. I won't ask you to wait for me at the Bridge because I know how busy you are, but know that we will love you forever.
