Ikea Spare Parts

Posted Oct 13th, 08 at 9:09 pm by dra

I recently bought a 6 drawer malm cabinet. Unfortunately I discovered AT THE END that I miss a part. It is a drawer slide. I googled it hoping that it will be an easy quest. It was not.... Any ideas of how you can get spare parts for IKEA products?

Just as an FYI, Blogs really aren't a good place for asking questions, you're much more likely to get an answer by posting in the appropriate forum. Maybe Assembly and Installation. IN any case, I'd suggest you find the part number of the piece you're missing in the instructions (pretty sure we have the MALM 6 drawer here if you don't have them any more) and then go to your local store and ask them, generally at the returns desk. They usually have huge bins of spare parts.

    Ikea Spare Parts

Just call customer services, I did and they offered to send out the parts free of any charge within a week. Did'nt even check who I was, very good service as I was expecting to pay at least.
