Day 75 | Backsplash installed

Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 | The tile guys came this morning and installed the backsplash. It's really a thrill to see this part of the remodel come to fruition.

Earlier this summer, it took about six hours to transform plain glass tesserae into a Bauhaus glass textile. I love glass mosaics...

Day 65: Are we there yet?

Friday, Oct. 9, 2007 | It's been a week since I've blogged about last week's fiasco. I've decided that I have to be on site as we take care of the remaining details. This means working in a far-from-ergonomic home office but it gives me more peace of mind--and oversight.

Oh boy--can it get any worse?

Just got off the phone with DH. He's had it. The thermometer in his arm has gone PFFFFFFT.

Brian got home a few minutes ago (he has half-days on Fridays) and found that the stove was connected but the plumber had left the oven door...
