Hubby left for Chile yesterday for a week (don't worry, I've been invited to a Thanksgiving celebration with friends), so I spent my first evening alone putting all the cover panels and other things associated with our microwave shelf in place.

Countertop choices???

Well, things are moving much more quickly now! We got approximate quotes on the countertops, which are huge because we have 66 square feet! Kind of insane. However, we are now in a bind because we just don't know which countertop to get, even in the light vs. dark category. Pretty much everything...

Sanding and sanding and sanding....

In order to get that end-of-peninsula shelf built, I had to sand a gagillion pieces of pine and then stain them. After cutting them all to begin with.

Even with the orbital sander, my shoulder feels completely messed up at this point.
