Modern Kitchen with Mid-Century Flavor

Well, at long last it's finally time to get rolling with out kitchen renovation! Since we moved into our house just a touch over a year ago, we've been dreaming, planning, scheming and saving for this moment. I've posted a few threads in the past several weeks and you guys have been a great help in finalizing some details in our design. Now, we're ready to move forward.
Here's the final layout and some details:

The Ikean I worked with was knowledgeable and efficient. She suggested that I only use one soft-close hinge per door to save a few bucks. She told me of some of the complaints she'd heard from users of the 24" pull-out pantry in case any of those were issues for me. It took less than 45 minutes total to get my entire order put together and paid for. Painless!
After checking in with Furniture Pick-Up, I spent another 45 minutes just shopping around the store with my mom while they gathered up my products. Somehow, I managed to only spend another $40 during that time! When we got back to the pick-up area, we had four carts full of flatpacks and various other parts and pieces. The next trick would be to see how much of it we could fit into my truck.
I have a full-size pickup truck with a hard-shell cover over the bed. So I can only load the bed up to the top, but can't pile things any higher than that. Luckily, my mom had met me at Ikea so we also had her little sedan to load up as well. Much to our surprise, we managed to get my entire kitchen's worth of cabinets into our two vehicles!
So now there's that same huge pile of flatpacks in my garage that has graced so many Ikeafan garages before mine. I have yet to take the obligatory photo of said pile, but I'll make sure to do that in the interest of carrying on tradition!
Demolition starts this weekend! I have no real timeline for the project other than to just try to get it done as quick as can be without sacrificing any quality or features we want. My hope is that we'll have it done by about mid-February which I think is a reasonable estimate. We'll see if I have to revise that estimate along the way.
So wish me luck. This won't be my first kitchen, but it will be the biggest and nicest one Ive ever done - not to mention the first one I've done for myself and the first one with Ikea cabinets. I'll be tuning into Ikeafans pretty-much daily (as if that's any different than normal since I found you) and will do my best to photo-document the process.
Here's the final layout and some details:

- Doors: Custom Stranded Bamboo

- Dishwasher: Miele Optima Fully Integrated
