IKEA Kitchen Update - 1 year later

So it's been nearly a year since completing our kitchen and i have to say i couldn't be happier. I love our kitchen. I love the functionality (our super island) and i love that anyone who comes over loves it! It's a very nice place to entertain, the cabinets look just as nice as the day they went...

Kitchen is just lacking a few things to be able to call it officially DONE....

1) Need to put up the door at the closet (old-pantry)

2) Quarter-round on the floor....we got the floor down this weekend, but because we had people over today, just didn't have the time to...

Wasting away in flooring-ville....

OMG....so tired. Just spent all day putting in my floor....it looks great but it's only 98% done. The last bit of pieces that have to go in the pantry....those haven't been done because we didn't feel it would be nice to run a saw past 9pm.....nice of us, huh?? But it's looking great everywhere else....

Last weekend/week (May 14-21)

The work begins....Mother's Day weekend...

So it was a knock down and tear-out operation. The night before i had taken down all the doors and all the shelves out of the old cabinets....and i put them out on the curb for the trash men! I had cleared out anything else that might hinder us in the slightest.

So it began friday...
