Backsplash progress

Well friends, I dragged my hubby to the tile shop yesterday, and we were able to walk out with a few samples to test drive for the evening. After a brief mishap with one sample (he had propped it up on the stove, and as luck would have it, it fell behind said stove...), we had a little kitchen fashion...

Window: I think we have a problem

History: our windows in 2/3 of the house are 60 years old and were not well cared for by previous owners. They are single pane single hung, and just barely surviving.

Current state: It has been raining non-stop for several weeks in a row, and Tuesday it starting coming down particularly...

Backsplash issues

Well, my tile order came in last week, and....well, it's not so great. I'm sending it back today because it is completely not the look we were going for. Serves me right for thinking I didn't need to order samples
