IKEA is broken...it's not going to happen...

We spoke with IKEA Direct today and have come to the conclusion that an IKEA kitchen is not in our future. It amazes me that neither the store or Direct has the infrastructure to handle backorders, especially with 'new' and 'popular' styles (as our IKEAn, Rachel, put it) like the Nexus Yellow-Brown...

Trouble at IKEA Seattle...

Well, we made the 5 hour trek to IKEA Seattle this weekend only to find out that, unbelievably, they have no backorder capabilities for the items (16 of them in total) that they did not have in stock.
