house progress

I'm sorely behind any kind of blogging about our remodel but it's progressing at lightning speed... We're actually ahead of schedule and slated to be wrapped up before mid September. It's amazing how quick it's gone.

Permits, finally!

Today, 15 weeks after submission, we finally got our permits to start our addition. Have I mentioned that I'm 25weeks pregnant? And that the remodel was estimated to take between 10-12 weeks?

Resurrection...

Last night we signed a contract with our contractor of choice along with a check for 10%....

If the architect would finish I would be ecstatic but at this point, this blog is being resurrected and probably/hopefully updated more frequently. Contractor is residing and reroofing our house...

Bonde!

Bonde is in! It's been on backorder since Feb. 24th and today for the first time since then the "In Stock" checker on Ikea's website said it was actually available. I called the store to see if it was on the sales floor and the clerk said that it was and one had already been sold! So at 2pm...

Quite by accident and the same day that I found that my source for the tile we were kind of leaning towards no longer had it on their site I found another source... and a local, cheap source. We're going on Monday to probably buy this tile:
