Our Second 2008 Baby!

We're done with babies this year - our second baby was born Thursday morning. Healthy and pretty, he's everything we could want - except we wanted a girl.

We had a baby last night!

OK, now that I have your attention - it is a four legged baby. My senior broodmare had our first foal of 2008. "Bob" is a very healthy red dun colt with plenty of white markings to set his color off.

Floor Story - we laughed, we cried

I mentioned a disaster in my last post about the kitchen. To lead up to that I wanted to post pictures of our floors. We put in Southern Yellow Pine floors - locally grown, locally milled so the price is reasonable. I love that we can get boards over 5" wide on the face instead of the narrow...

Getting there!

My IKEA kitchen is basically finished - just a few trim pieces and a trip to Orlando to get the missing doors and we're done!

It's starting to look a lot like a kitchen

We're making major progress - the cabinets are almost finished. Most of the counters are installed and we're ready to install appliances. Oh - the sink is IN the cabinet and it is staying there.
