We just bought an '08 Honda Cr-V and are loving it. As we discovered last week, it holds a whole lot of Besta media storage (we'll be posting pics of that soon).
I drive a 1991 Honda CRX HF.Honda is better than IKEA because one can take them apart and put them back together many times.Mine gets 47.5 MPG but with ethanol in gas now it has dropped to 46 MPG.At the loading dock of the Orlando IKEA I saw lots of high butterfat luxury SUVs.They were filling up with furniture built for skinny people.
Well, If Honda is better than IKEA, why does IKEA still make great furniture and Honda stopped making great cars like the one you drive? The 2008 Civic Hybrid only claims 45mpg 17 years later. Seems to me that a truly great car company could have used those 17 years to be farther along- now they're playing catch up.
We're not going to see an electric plug in hybrid OR a Fuel Cell car from them in the next 2 years...so almost 20 years later Honda will make a car that gets better mileage than yours.
And then I'll buy one!
PS how much flat pack can you get in there? If I recall, that's a two seater.
I've had my 2005 MINI cooper for almost 4 years, and my husband became infatuated with it. He ordered the MINI clubman before they were even available in the U.S. We also have a roof rack on the clubman, specifically for the 600+ round trip to IKEA in Chicago from St. Louis. We have had it packed with 3 carts of stuff and 12 gorm shelving units and still had room! But we did have our kitchen cabinets delivered (no sales tax for shipping out of state). Both cars get around 25-36 miles per gallon. Oh, and a Vespa, too. That one gets about 75+ with the two of us on it.
