The Firefox browser is becoming ever more popular (it is with us). Here are a few tips to help speed up your browsing experience with Firefox.
Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. These are the browser configuration settings.
Scroll down and make changes by right-clicking and selecting toggle to the following entries:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true."
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true."
Normally the browser will make one request at a time to a web page. When you enable pipelining, it will make several at once - which can really speed up page loading.
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 8, so it will make 8 requests at once.
And last, right-click anywhere on the configuration page and select New-> Integer.
Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to 0. This is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
