Re: Trough sinks - I don't get it?

Dulci, what is the link to the copper sinks? I would love one of those!
That 24" Kohler sink has been a great 2nd sink for the past 15 years, but it is time for a change. Also, I really want undermount sinks this time.

Re: Trough sinks - I don't get it?

here's my favorite site, and i've done some research on copper sinks (quality, customer service, customer satisfaction, etc) and this is a link i'm happy to provide
i'm also intrigued by their other metals... and i love places that will do custom.

maybe i'll just design my own thin trough sink in copper... think they'd make an 8in wide apron?

OMG!! I'm in love! This is so gorgeous - and affordable.

Thanks Dulci - now that I'm smitten - to see if they ship to Canada....

Do you think it could be undermount?

Re: Trough sinks - I don't get it?

i think it can be, really easily, and if not that one, i'm sure they can make it so that it can be done undermounted.
i find them very reasonable for all the detail and the quality. sure, you can get cheaper but with copper sometimes you really don't want to go below a certain threshold.

glad you like. i'm thinking i might end up with a copper hood with stainless accents in order to make my kitchen blend (cause pro gas cooktops are only in ss)

Re: Trough sinks - I don't get it?

It is true about the pro gas cooktop, but I'll probably stick with my white gas cooktop. In fact, most of my appliances aren't that old. We went with white not stainless. The stainless was more money and we don't intend to sell anytime soon. We've been her 16.5 years so far. We don't love stainless so we just went white because it is very easy to care for.

Now that I'm thinking more about hoods, I would truly love a copper hood. The stainless ones are just so modern and I really want a homey old-fashioned look in my Arts and Crafts house. Copper with a dark patina would be the answer. I want Moen's new Oiled Bronze finish for the faucets.

Dulci, what is the timeline for your new kitchen?

Re: Trough sinks - I don't get it?

my current house is on the market. i have white appliances here cause i HATE ss (but i really want a pro cooktop or pro range--i'm an amateur chef)

we are putting an offer in on a house and we'll carry both till this one sells. guess my new kitchen timeline will really depend on how long we have to carry 2 houses and how much we get for this one! thankfully the house we like is clean enough to live in till we can redo it. and thankfully it is all 1982 original decor (they painted and carpeted after they moved) so i'm not ripping out something that was done recently.

right now i'm just dreaming.
and tomorrow i'm starting my sister's kitchen. i am a nutter

Re: Trough sinks - I don't get it?

My sister's kitchen is just about done, but my hubby is wanting to do boring things like put a new fence and re-roof the garage before my kitchen. What can you do?!

I love kitchens so much, that I'm tempted to specialize in kitchen design when I finish my Interior Design degree. But I'm told that is not where the money is. Commerical interiors, office design, hotels, casinos etc. is where I shoud go, but my heart is in residential design.
