I love football. And I live in Boston, so I love the Pats. And I like to have parties. So, we're having our 5th annual superbowl party this weekend. It's a small group - 10-12 or so. I'm looking to see if anyone has some awesome food ideas. Here's what I've made in the past, and I'm happy to repeat any of those, but like to try something new too -
Chili
Kielbasa and/or meatballs in the grape jelly/chili sauce combo
pulled pork sandwiches
Buffalo wings
cream cheese and salsa dip with chips
and then typical chips, pretzels, tortilla chips with assorted dips
I was thinking of trying to go a little more "New England" this year since the pats are actually playing, but somehow clam chowder just doesn't scream super bowl to me. So, does anyone have any yummy ideas? I'm going to check out the appetizer Christmas threads as well.

We do meatballs simmered in Coke for about an hour, then add a bottle of barbecue sauce (I prefer heavily doctored Stubbs), simmer for a few more hours, then add a healthy amount of rum. They always go over very well.
Holy cats- no kidding! (Actually, I bet they taste yummy!)
I like Eva's suggestion- you could do spicey crab cakes with a couple of sauces...bloody mary's, corn bread...sorry this is just a list of things I like and has nothing to do with the Super Bowl.
Because this thread was the first I'd heard of when it was.
We seem to be in Costco every year during the game, marvelling at the lack of crowds until we walk past the wall of TVs and figure out that it's just us and the newly immigrated.
Here's what I'm taking to ours - because it's easy and it makes a ton... I don't know that it's particularly New Englandly Party Pinwheels Recipe | Recipezaar
