Re: I've heard from coffee fans...how about TEA?

i miss our instant hot and can't wait to install another into the house. it will be on a secondary (tertiary even) sink near the beverage fridge.

and i'm an Irish Breakfast chick, can totally taste the difference. And a good Chai Tea Latte is my best friend every tues morning for "coffee tuesday"

lived with a Kiwi for almost 2 yrs before b stole my heart and i learned the art of making a great "cuppa"
still love my coffee too though

Re: I've heard from coffee fans...how about TEA?

I do love Irish Breakfast, but learned to love English as well. I had a supervisor who used to make the most amazing concoction: tea with milk and honey. Amazing not only for the lovely flavor, but it's intriguing property of soothing you and making you wide awake at the same time.

I had heard lovely things here about Instant Hots, but we simply didn't have the funds or the room. However, I do wish more people, or more specifically, restaurants, would use them. I find that ordering tea in a restaurant usually means water that is only slightly better than lukewarm.

I went on a trip to Ireland in 2002...now THEY knew how to make tea! My MIL, being used to the not-so-hot American restaurant version, nearly burned herself a number of times because...well, it was actually HOT. Boiling water, not water heated in an empty carafe on the coffee maker. Wow.

Re: I've heard from coffee fans...how about TEA?

i've cut down on my coffee consumption and have been drinking more tea too.

Slightly different from an electric kettle would be a hot water pot like this:
Zojirushi

I brought mine's into the office, and now the coffee maker usually makes it through the day with only one pot, as many others have switched over to tea also.

The near boiling temperature is great for oatmeal and the like too.
