| Re: The kitchen renovation diet
HI all,
I live in the "burbs" so no cool Asian grocery stores nearby.
What I did yesterday was to peruse my recipes and some that i had in my camping file and did a menu plan - i have twenty dinners all planned. I did notice they are pretty carb heavy - lots on bread or buns but hey - working on the kitchen should zero out those nasty carb calories!!!
I wll keep you posted on how my plan works out and maybe write something up after the kitchen is done...
I did a spreadsheet of the meal, vegtable, what tools were required - knife bowl etc and what appliance i used to prepare it - BBQ - griddle - microwave. I have a big chest freezer in my basement and my HUGE fridge is now in my living room - just have to set up one more table for actual food prep and i should be good!!!
After getting that done and spending a ton of money at the grocery store for bottled water and juice boxes for the kids and spending $300 - I just about fell over....I was so tired stopped at McDonalds on the way home to grab dinner - told the kids this was the last take out meal for a while. <smile> at least that is the plan!!
On a side note - all the cabs are out - hubs kept saying over and over "why did they do that"....oh previous owners!! - they are so much fun!!
I digress, will keep you posted on the menu plan and how that works....
