Do you try Italian recipes?

I'm an Italian young woman, I'd like to exchange Italian recipes and experiments, as I really love to cook.
Do you like to try them? What's your favourite Italian dish?
Anyway, I'd love to learn also foreign traditional dishes, I'd be happy to find friends who can teach me something new, so feel free to reply.
Ciao!

Re: Do you try Italian recipes?

Have you checked out our Healthy Lifestyles forum? Lots of great recipes in there as well as in this forum.

I used to cook for an Italian restaurant here in town, before my twins were born. We generally have Italian a couple of times a week. My grandmother was THE best chef you'd ever hope to see...and she taught me all that I know and love about Italian cuisine.

I've had Eva's gravy and it is delicious!

What is your favorite Italian dish? I'd love to try something you like! I'll offer gazpaucho- one of my all time favorites, and Rataouille- another all time fav!

In general, I prefer to cook pasta with all sorts of sauces and even pizza, oh...I absolutely have to give you the recipe about my homemade bread which I use also to bake my pizza at home !! Just give me some days to post it, because I'm working at the new flat and planning the first part of the relocation.

I'd be very happy to learn the recipes which you suggested, let's keep in touch.

Have a nice weekend and ttyl, ciao!

Re: Do you try Italian recipes?

Well, the answer to the question would have to be what my husband thinks are my best dishes...I'm my own worst critic! But he absolutely loves my Zuppa di Pesce, linguine and clam sauce, manicotti and just about anything with my gravy on it. Apparently my Zuppa di Pesce is legendary now that I've served it to my in laws...they went back to NY raving about it and declared it the best they've ever had. And they've had this dish EVERYWHERE over the past 40 years!

My grandfather used to make ravioli, those pix of you and your boyfriend making them brought back fond memories!

Re: Do you try Italian recipes?

I was raised by an Italian nonna from Pisa so of course Italian is my favorite to cook and to eat. I was fortunate to attend cooking school in Italy and have many wonderful memories and recipes. Two of my favorites are ribollita and linguini carbonara. Your English is perfect.
