Since we're going to IKEA in Chicago this month, I've been checking out different restaurants in the area online. I came across this restaurant and they have recipes listed. Thought you all might like to take a peek.

Thanks Laurie...I love Japanese steakhouses. Around here, it's Sakura, but it's still the same great concept/food. After seeing the recipe for the cream sauce, though, I don't know that I'll use it again (heavy cream!!!).

So, when's the big day?

I can't wait to go to their restaurant. Although the kids may complain the whole time. Heard they put on a great show. Aaaah, cream sauce. I have a recipe that uses half-n-half with the drippings from a pork roast for the gravy. It's unbelievably heavenly.

We leave early Monday morning, the 24th. Since I know nobody else wants to spend the entire day at IKEA(can't understand why not), I'm going to go there Monday afternoon by myself for a few hours and take notes, scout out things I like and when we leave Chicago, I'll take everybody else back to show them. That way I don't have them asking every 2 hours if we can leave yet. Trust me, I'll enjoy it much more by myself the first day. Dh is not enthusiastic about remodeling......he would be perfectly content to live in a 10-car garage with an apartment above No, really I think it's just that I love to browse and men go shopping with a mission and they're out of there. I could probably stay there all day dreaming about the possibilities!! I'll be like a kid in a candy store
