THE best way to cut a melon

Totally on a whim I cut a cantaloupe in a spiral - what an awesome way to cut a melon! Makes it easy to slice off a piece that's just the size you want.

Just thought I'd share!

Susan

(This was our picnic dinner on the beach of the Potomac at Westmoreland State Park - lots of veggies!)

Pretty sure I would chop off my fingers if I attempted that.

But it looks *really cool*

Re: THE best way to cut a melon

A table saw with a really sharp blade works wonders for something like this - just make sure you have a splash guard at the back of the saw.

And, of course, ALWAYS wear your safety glasses.

Re: THE best way to cut a melon

I hate cutting a melon, it is such a large fruit. This is why I avoid buying it and if I buy it, I buy it already cut But you can buy it in a can too, this is another option.
