Does anyone know what is going on with the STABIL pasta inserts? Both the 3 qt and 5 qt models were nowhere to be found at my "local" IKEA, and as I search the stocks of other IKEAs through their website, it looks like they don't have any in stock either, with no notice of when they might. Is this to be discontinued? It seems like a pretty basic item to have, to me.

You're having a hard time tracking down the pasta inserts because the are discontinued... but to make way for a new product. I don't know exactly what the change is, but the new STABIL inserts should be available at your local store later in the spring. They're even keeping the name, so keep your eye out for STABIL soon!

Thank you for the update! I also emailed IKEA and received a similar answer - they are discontinued because their supplier has stopped making them. I hope whatever takes their place also fits the IKEA 365+ 5 qt pot (and costs under $10!).
