Re: Tylosand slipcovers, how to wash
I have had this sofa for almost 7 years. Original fabric was bone white and 100% cotton. I absolutely love it, the color is so fresh, and fabric feels so soft and no staticky feel. However, the white cotton fabric was probably not the best choice for someone with a dog. Instructions say do not wash, but it was washed when my dog chewed markers on it, and few times when she had muddy paws. Maybe every 4-6 months... I soaked it in lukewarm /cold water overnight every time, and than washed it on gentle cycle with woolite for delicates (special one for sweaters). I do not recommend dryer, it shrank. Also, I do not recommend oxyclean. After 7 years, I guess I need new slipcovers. I tried resurrecting them with oxyclean, but it came out really spotty and dirty... And zipper pull part broke a while ago, I have to use pliers every time I change the covers :p
Still, I love it so much, I ordered on ebay the same covers again.
