Hi,

I've been researching under-cabinet lights, and almost decided to use Xenon. The light fixture looks like 1'' height.

Now I'm wondering which piece do I need to get for covering these under cabinet light fixtures? Pinth or deco strip??

If it's a deco strip, it seems 2 3/8'' heigh according to Ikea web site. But I have only 18'' between countertop and wall cabinet, don't want to give up 1 3/8'' for covering the fixture. Did anyone come up with clever idea to cover the light?

I was hoping I can find the brown finish light fixture, so I don't have to see it much, but so far I've not been successful...

Use the deco-strip - the remaining clearance should be plenty for any countertop accessories in a 'normal' kitchen. The plinth doesn't have the finished edge you require for a valance. If the valance is too high you could cut it down.
