Bottom-Up Roller Blind

Any ideas for how to set up ENJE or ISDANS in a bottom-up situation - see figure?

Re: Bottom-Up Roller Blind

Hi Amonty and welcome to IKEAFANS!!

Enje should be pretty easy to mount that way- you just need some sort of "cup" (think clothes closet pole mounting) mounting to hold the loose end of the bottom (now top) bar.

ENJE seems easier than ISDANS as the metal ends are exposed, so possibly easier to mount as outlined above.

Anybody out there done this?

HTH,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for idea. I see what you mean by the cups but am not quite picturing the solution. Are there some pulleys and additional strings a part of it?

No, I think you get a digital solution- 1 or 0, up or down. Alternatively, you could simply mount it lower on the window and it would run up and down, but cut off in the middle of the window- so probably not what you are looking for.

Re: Bottom-Up Roller Blind

Actually I like your "digital solution". Can ENJE be used without the chain on the side, and is it spring-loaded, like regular windowshade?

Re: Bottom-Up Roller Blind

I don't actually know- but my nodding aquaintence with IKEA blinds tells me no spring- and I suppose you could remove the chain if it wasn't useful to you...
