Hello! DH and I are at odds about paint color for our new kitchen. We are using Adel MB cabinets, green tea backsplash, and Caesarstone Raven countertops. In the photo, you'll see a blue and the green tea backsplash as well as several countertop options which we've ruled out. A photo of Raven is attached. Our floor tile is Daltile Veranda in Sand color (photos attached).

So, DH is leaning towards a yellow tone for paint. We've tried numerous samples and none of them look right. You'll see a few samples in the background in one of the pics. I'm leaning towards more of a putty color but that also doesn't look right.

The same color will need to carry over to the dining room which is attached and there wouldn't be good way to separate the two.

Please HELP...this is the decision that is holding up installation of the cabinets!!

Have you tried looking at something in a rosy taupe sort of range? I'm not sure where exactly in the "putty" range you were looking; you may have covered this territory already. But I would suggest seeing if you can pick up the rose from the floor tile and taking it in a little bit darker and taupier direction. "Reddish neutral" would be another way of putting it.

Thanks - we have not tried the rosier taupe direction. The putty we tried was very neutral so maybe it was just too neutral. In the photos, the floor looks a little more red than it actually is. Thanks for the input.

Have you looked in the galleries? There's a few beautiful Adel MB kitchens with great colors.

And not to be left out...a creamy yellow which runs into the LR/DR (open concept now)...CIL Lauren's Lace...though I love the green too...

Vern Yip did an Adel MB kitchen on an episode of "Deserving Design" I watched yesterday.

He had pale countertops and a sagey-green paint - which looked very nice, clean and contemporary - w/the Adel.

The sagey-green was not green-green, had a fair amount of grey tones, but still read as green.

Just to muddy the waters a bit more. ;^)
