I am torn.......I had planned on putting this pendant light centered in the window
Which I think would really look odd with the faucet not centered under it -
I came across this look today and now thinking this lighting might be an option....even though I truly love the pendant and goes with the look I am after....
I can only see the first photo, but I think it would look fine. I have a similar situation where the sink cabinet has to be a couple of inches off-center under the window, and for our kitchen I've decided to just make the faucet really off-center, so it looks deliberate, and then let other things be symmetrical if they want to be.
I love the pendant from Restoration Hardware. Everything I've bought from them has been such excellent quality.
I think the pendant should be centred on the window, but who cares about the sink and faucet. Modern faucets aren't all symmetrical and alot of new sinks are 3/4 1/4 style. I don't think centred sinks and faucets are that big a deal.
If you are worried about the sink not having enough light if the pendant is 'directly' overhead, then put a pair of pendants for more light.
i agree with zeuss. center the pendant on the window. you won't even notice that it's not centered on the sink.
how many fixtures on your faucet? if it's 2 or 4, you can center the pendant in the middle of the space. if it's 1 or 3, i still think you'll hardly notice it. and like i said before, i am pretty obsessive about stuff like that.
ps - i also love the RH pendant. they have the coolest stuff

Hi, I am going with a single fixture....and the single 24" domsjo apron front sink that is why I am a bit obsessive myself about it probably bordering on OCD I think <great big smile>

Thanks Zeuss, I think I am getting a bit too detailed oriented about this - I guess that is what happens when I have been so KO for a few years now.
I am just worried about the "should have's" after it is done so trying to get all the details bang on. I am hoping just to use the single pendant light over the sink - but now I dont know if that pendant light will give me enough working light vs. accent lighting.
I think I might take a trip into the store - they have one In Toronto I could go and visit - probably worth the drive. I will admit though a bit nervous as i might end up with more than just the light.........I drool every time I go to their website.
Thanks for the quality feedback. I have never purchased anything from them before but have heard they do have good quality items - for the price of that pendant it should be though!!
Restoration seems to have excellent lighting. Note that the pendant comes with two lengths of rod, one extendable.
Rejuvenation, which I assume ships to Canada, provides the specific length of rod that you request. They manufacture in Portland, Ore. and I have seven of their fixtures around the house (two fixtures that should be Rejuvenation are ridiculously cheap lookalikes from Target. Go figure).
