This is one of the few contemporary looking coathooks/wallhooks I've seen. I can just see it in an IKEA birch room. It also comes in a brown finish, though the brown looks opaque, I couldn't see any woodgrain on the picture

That does look nice.

Since we won't have a coat closet (well, we haven't since we ripped it out in March of '05) I wonder if we can use that tucked behind where the staircase will be.

Oh my god!

I LOVE the aluminum and steel version, but $445? I'll have to start saving my shekels. Funny that they should include this in the product description

"...the Symbol helps to keep your home photo ready - with or without the coats."

I guess they figure that those who can afford such luxuries are oftencontacted by Dwell and Met Home.

Ican't wait to look at the other products this design firm offers. They look right up my alley, even if they are out of my price range (for now ).

Not quite my price range either! But it was a fun site to look at. And maybe a truly intrepid DIY'er could come up with something similar.
