Hi all... glad to find this site cuz we've inherited a vintage 1950's ranch. Thinking it'd be cool to update it all IKEA !

Before renovation, trying to get overall plan together... I want to start by deciding and Coordinating INTERIOR by planning ahead all my INTERIOR ROOM COLORS . ( I don't want the interior walls to be all white. )

I see IKEA carries paint/stain for the furniture. But searching for IKEA color palette and/or color swatches containing IKEA INTERIOR PAINTcolors for walls and trim , I haven't seen that IKEA carries such , do they ?

If not, maybe they'd be smart to expand in that direction , what'doya think ?


QUESTION : If not, can IKEA fans recommend some alternatives. For ex. are there manufacturer that you found has a vibrant type colors such as IKEA's traditional blue ? where to buy/who carries ?

Hi Maybelean, welcome to IKEAFans!

When I was at the Schaumburg IKEA several months ago, they had little tags on the displays with the paint color name and brand indicated. You might look for that next time you're in the store. I don't know if they still do that.

One piece of advice I've heard is to get the fabrics for your room first (bedding, drapes, rugs) and then work from there to find a color. Paint comes in every color, fabrics not so much.
