Now that I have my wall cabs hung and my base cabs set, is it better to install the tile backspash before I have the granite countertop measured and installed or after the countertop is installed. One plus of doing it before hand that comes to mindisthat I could run the tile below where the countertop will abut the wall and potentially savemyself the need to cut any tile. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Greg

We are doing ours after the granite was installed... (obviously since it's already installed). The main reason why is because our walls are crooked and putting the tile on top of the granite will help hide the places that the granite doesn't meet our walls evenly.

Good point. Thanks.

If you wanted, would your granite installers have scribed the back of the granite to meet flush with yourcrooked walls? I too have old wavy plaster walls.

Probably for some $$ but then you would have a smaller overhang in front and an overall narrower counter.
