Someone Help please!! We have a problem with fitting a 32"x21" undermount sink into the 36" sink cabinet (inside measure is only 19") None of you guys had similar problem? Any help is really appreciated!

There are a few choices I have:

1. Buy a smaller sink 32"x18" so that it could fit in the 19" space (more desirable right now, any suggestions on the sink this size?);
or 2. Modify the cabinet so that it could fit;
or 3. lift up the countertop so that the sink rim sit betwen the cabinet and countertop (silestone), but then we need to insert the same depth all the way. (bad idea)

Here is the sink info.

[*]Overall Size 32" x 21"
[*]Undermount 18 Gauge Stainless Steel
[*]Left Bowl Size 14" x 18-1/2" x 9"
[*]Right Bowl 14" x 15-1/2" x 9"

sftong --

Don't worry, you can turn the front rail on it's side or notch it so that you'll have a wider opening in the top of the sink base. The rail is not there for support, it's merely there to keep the sides from flapping open.

Hope that helps!

Susan, Thanks so much for the reply!

I was worried there for a while thinking to give in to a smaller sink. So, let me make sure I know what you are saying. You mean to turn the front rail vertical instead of horizontal (like how it is done traditionally) so that the secure pin facing inside of the cabinet to buy me some space? If that works,that's genius!

Thanks...

Yep, that's what I mean. It will impact you if you're planning to do the tip out trays, but I don't think it will have any major impact if you're just doing false fronts. You may have to wing it when attaching the hardware for the false fronts, but that shouldn't be too difficult.

Glad that helped!
