On recommendations from people here I got this sink for my 24" base cabinet:

http://store.galaxytoolsupply.com/cunkisisibo4.html

My granite installer just came to measure and claimed that the sink was too big--it fits on top no problem but because of the depth I cannot get the sink in from underneath. Does it have to come in from underneath to install, and do I need to cut my cabinets down??? I've already got the bases installed, so cutting down would be a pain; would it be worth it? (or could I even do it without compromising the base too much?).

help, advice appreciated. thanks!!!

I don't understand the part about it coming in from underneath? Based on the specs in your link, there's no reason that sink shouldn't fit. Can you be more explicit about what doesn't fit?

Worst case scenario, you CAN cut down the sides a bit to accomodate the sink or you can turn the front and back horizontal pieces on their sides so that you get some extra space in front to back depth.

First though, help me to understand what the problem is.

We installed our sink from the top - is he wanting you to use the clips to secure the sink? IMO that's not very secure... You should be able to have the sink rest on either plywood or right on the cabinet and put the granite on top of it with no problems. This means you can't ever swap out your sink but that shouldn't be a problem...

Hope that helps
Stacy
