:shock:we have been trying to decide on a backsplash. i was thinking of a black subway tile. i also like the look of a clean piece of tempered glass. my wife just wants it done! guess its up to me. help....:?

Hi Lionel,

Good job! As for the backsplash, I personally wouldn't use black subway tiles only because with the rather dark floor and the deep finish of the cabinets it would be a little to sombre for me. On the other hand, I really like the idea of glass. I know Ikea sells some (and also stainless steel backsplash panels).

Definitely not black. It's hard to tell the color of the floor, browns? Do you both like greens? Would go quite well. I love the look of glass back splash. If you do a search here for that, there's been a few conversations on this issue and it might give you some ideas. It's looking good!

Glass mosaic tile is the hot new trend, and it is a fabulous choice for a backsplash. There's a couple of websites where you can actually choose the mix of colors and they'll make it for you.

You'd have to order a sample to see what would look good with your floors, but I feel like something like this would look very nice:



...or one of these other tile blends.

Or white subway tile! But definitely not black.
