I thought Laurie might need to see some more Hallarum, so I took some photos yesterday at the Seattle store. Interesting that the camera will pick up little dings I don't notice myself.

Thanks Kathy!! I think dh and I have pretty much eliminated Hallarum, now. Too dark for our very dark kitchen. When I see them in the kitchens posted here, they're absolutely beautiful. I love the richness. So, we're narrowing down the choices here!:? Right now (who knows in the future?) it's either Backebo or Kalsebo (and secretly....... customcabinet fronts in a creamy off-white; but that's another story). Again, if we could get the Arlig Medium Brown (@#$($^#%&!!!!!:X) I think I would absolutely LOVE that with the slab doors.

We're still sticking with Hallarum (for now) and they should arrive any day now so I really appreciate the pictures even if Laurie has moved on. I love the look of the little handles (grippa, grappa... whatever) but me thinks they wouldn't be very functional.

I hadn't even noticed the little grippa's, but you're probably right about the practicality. It seems like someone here has tried and rejected them. I think they could be a sensible choice for the really high up cabinets that don't get opened many times a day, though. I do like how they preserve the uncluttered expanse of cabinet. Glad you liked seeing the kitchen!
