that's a lot of votes for blue pearl! i like blue pearl for your space as well, especially with your pale blue walls. but boykster's granite is also really amazing - and would tie in with your blue and birch just as nicely. and i think simple and more understated is totally fine! it won't be boring i promise I personally just like to mix things up (i've got color theory background and love a challenge)
