Looking at that thread I realize that I LOVE that tile!!! I will have the Adel birch cabinets, light/medium brown walls, the bourbon street or cobblestone tiles and a light/dark brown granite countertop to bring it all together. |
LOL! I went back and forth about the Cobblestone/Bourbon Street, too. That's why I decided to spit the difference and use one in the kitchen/family room and one in the master bath.
I am absolutely the wrong person to ask about granite - I am just not a fan of it.
For my counters (unless the tile guy changes my mind) I am planning to use American Olean Zenith. That is a rectified porcelain tile that comes in blue (my favorite color) and in 24x24" tiles. Since it is rectified, the grout lines can be minimal.
Here is what it looks like:
Right now my color for the walls is SW Vast Sky, but I only picked up samples yesterday and need to see how swatches look in the house. I'm also going to have some open wood shelves stained SW Provence Blue and the toe kicks will be stained Minwax Navy Blue.
But that is beauty of a tile like Cobblestone - it will go with almost any color pallette!
