Mom says I can't have my new kitchen until her bathroom is redone so here's some ideas. It is going to have a big walk-in tile shower and no bathtub. I thought this tile blend would be very dramatic on one of the shower walls. Then plain subway tiles on the walls with a few of these brown tiles as a border. Add the dark Ikea cabinets and a classic pedestal sink, lots of nickel hardware, schoolhouse lights, and whalla! I'm one step closer to my kitchen. What do you think?
i think i love it (voila )
and you've picked a combination that shouldn't take too much time to put together (could that be a bit on purpose? )
my fear of the little tiles in a shower keep me from doing something like that, but i LOVE the design (i hate grout)
How did you guess it was on purpose??? But I want it to be "designer" even if it is just a obstacle in the way of my kitchen.
How about tan walls with red towels?
I know what you mean about grout, but I was thinking about tan or brown grout so it already looks dirty. Avoid white grout at all costs. Also, I think the new grouts are better than the old ones.
for me it's not the cleaning the grout, it's the failure of grout... so many grout lines give more opportunity to one of them failing... but that might just be my paranoia setting in.
and i guessed because we have been chatting quite a bit lately and i'm starting to read your mind
just kidding
It's fabulous! I really like that Stenskar line of bath cabinets, and your tile blend is great!
The dark cabinets of the Stenskar line are really classy looking, aren't they? I just wish the bathroom cabinets were of the same quality as the kitchen. But we just don't have room for kitchen cabinets. My mom especially likes the mirror with the little shelf on it that matches.
