I love, love, love serving food on pale blue plates. My ideal would be dinnerware from Heath Ceramics but it's totally out of my price range. We're talking over $31 for a single dinner plate!
What else is out there? Pale blue, use for every day ...
I was at a factory outlet center today and all the Mikasa outlets are closing. They had a number of light blue sets... everything is 25% off the already outlet price. There are outlets all over the country.
Ah, Mikasa. Thanks for the tip! I've been randomly searching online for "dinnerware", "restaurant ware", "dansk", etc. Mikasa is another good name to look for. I'll hunt for an outlet.
IKEA has a pretty light blue plate, but it's more of a china/porcelain type than a stoneware type like what you've pictured. It's a beautiful color though....tempts me every time, though I'm a confirmed whiteware person. OTOH, I've been unhappy with our whiteware from IKEA - it's chipped easily, it shatters into 1000 shards when dropped and it's not micro safe.
As a general note to everyone - I'd suggest checking any dinnerware from IKEA carefully.

Some of my favorite places for tabletop are Crate and Barrel right now they have the Nilsson and Marina
it's hipper cousin cb2.com , they have the Cayman plates and the Palette plates, although the palettes are colored on the outside, not the inside
Pottery Barn has the Sausalito in darker blue
andwest elm. Furniture, accessories for modern homes. although they have no blue right now. You could also try Williams Sonoma and Costplus World Market, as well as Tuesday Morning if you have one near you.
On the inexpensive end of things, Kmart has Martha Stewart dinnerware
Fiestaware is on clearance there
