Hello, i'm looking for help/suggestions/insight if anyone has any. My girlfriend and i like, and want to purchase, the extendable rectangular Bjursta dining table in Brown. But we want benches as well and currently the bench only comes in Brown-Black which we do not like. I'm curious if it's worth waiting to see if the bench becomes available in brown or if it's possible to paint it? or what? i really dont know. it's very frustrating. the norden table has the same issue, the long one comes in beech but the bench only comes in birch. why do they do this?

Do not believe IKEA is planning any new color for this bench.

IKEA sometimes offers mixed colors within a family in ways you could not match them. For example, TRANETORP table is oak, but the 2 SIGURD benches are white, red. Now the soon-to-be-available chair is white also.

Since it is ash veneer, if you are handy, you could strip the varnish off and stain it the color you want.
