Also, anyone know what model shelves are above the drawer?

Replacement Cushions for Karlstad?

Is it possible to purchase new...

Is it possible to purchase new cushions for the Karlstad? I'm not talking about the cushions that you can purchase separately, I'm talking about the actual couch cushions. I've had my sofa for 3 years now and the cushions are in horrible condition - the 2 back cushions are slouchy and never sit up straight and the bottom cushions aren't holding up as well as I think they should.

We bought the sofa the first year it came out (Fall 07) which was before the 10 year warranty went into effect. I just got a new cover (found a great deal on eBay, yeah!) and I'd really like to keep the couch for a few more years but the cushions are in such a bad state that the couch is no longer comfortable.

I've looked on the Ikea website and can't find anything about purchasing new cushions. Thoughts?

It's a cream white couch (I think it's called ivory), it's a leather couch with 3 seats (but also 4 people may sit on it) and it was 749,-€. Size: about 1metre to 1,80metres. Does anybody know the name of this couch? Would be great!!! Thanks in advance, Tamara

I need to use the sofa bed as a bed on a daily basis as well as a sofa on a daily basis (large family and I have to give up my bedroom!) but I am concerned about quality issues and its durability for use on a daily basis and long term - I cannot afford for it to last just a year!
Are there many people who use it on such a regular basis and what are your opinions??

Hi all...new to this site, but Ikea fan for many years :) I have had my eye on the Ektorp corner sofa-bed 2+2 for a couple years now, and am *finally* ready to buy it, but can't find the bed mechanism to purchase online. Does anyone know if it has been discontinued? (I noticed it disappeared from the web a while ago and then returned again, also the couch itself was unavailable for ordering online and then returned again). Anyone know if it is in a store? I live in NYC but could get to stores in a 50 mile radius.
I'm moving into my first own apartment soon (haven't found a place yet though...) but I'm already obsessively planning which furniture I'll buy and how I'll set everything up... now my question is, can anyone tell me whether I'll be able to fit my dream sofa, the four-seater Klippan, through a regular staircase/doorway... or am I better off giving up the idea of stretching out on a Klippan and just buying the love seat instead?

I'm new to Ikea Fans and new to posting things on forums too, so I hope I get this right... =:-o

Anyway, i'm after some help idenfying our old Ikea sofabed. We got it in 2000 (in the UK) if memory serves and asuming the pics I am attempting to attach upload okay (and you can make them out!) you'll be able to see it is need of some TLC.
The back cushions and arm cushions are attached to the main sofa and are ripping badly. I'm hoping if I can identify it (with a little help!) then even if i can't get a whole replacement loose cover i might be able to find some seat cushion covers to tidy it up a bit if i get my needle and thread to the arm and back cushions!
Having dug about under the cushions and down amongst the sofa bed mechanism (metal action) I found the Ikea label which states a code on it (10638) bt have been unable to trace this to anything despite a good trawl online..
Well, any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks! :)

IKEA Living Room Photo: Apartment Layout

*Image Title:* Apartment Layout...

Image Title: Apartment Layout
Description:

Hello! This is my first post. My husband and I are moving to a new apartment. If you could please give me some tips on these things, I would really appreciate it as it is my first time doing this ever! Everything that is a shelf is IKEA and the table is as well. All of the IKEA things are "yet-to-buys", so feel free to suggest other furniture while everything is we already own. Only note is that we are trying to really keep the costs down. PS sorry the colors are really off...
1. I am thinking of matting various pictures as well as matting small mirrors so that they fit exactly at the edge in the 13 x 13 square facing the dining room. I thought a mix of the matted mirrors, matted pictures, some other matted memorabilia, and a few vases that compliment the brown/red/green platewares would give it color. On the empty wall opposite I was thinking of putting a huge clock or large mirror. Also- I strongly desire to be able to put glass on some of the expedit cubes that are against the wall with the window as that is where we will be putting our china and such. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue without spending a fortune?
2. My husband and I are semi-bibliofiles so the more shelving we get the better. I intend to fit as many Billy bookcases on this wall as I find feasible. My concern was if there is enough visual distance/seperation between the black-brown and the walnut that they won't clash? I've been reading other forum stuff and was going to go by the "rule of 3"- I will have some black frames and such in the living room area and some walnut frames and such in workspace.
3. The bedroom- I would like to put some shelving in here…however I don't want stark white. The color scheme (not that intense blue of the bed but actually and blue and chocolate damask) is going to be light browns with blue accents.
4. The desk will have our wide screen desktop on it, which we can turn around toward the living room to act as a TV. The color of the wood of the fish tank is actually pretty accurate I think… its closer to the birch side of things rather than the walnut. Will it be a scar in the workspace area dominated by brown-black?
5. To coffee table, or not to coffee table. There is a side table that we already have that is walnut… Perhaps we should opt for some sort of storage ottoman? I found one here that seems quite reasonable: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM1224397401P . The couch color can be whatever we want at this point- they are mismatched couches that we intend to get covers for anyway. Perhaps a natural greens room?
6. My computer is just being glitchy- this is just supposed to give an idea of the size with the extended leaf of the Bjursta table.

Hello everyone! First post in here but I shop in Ikea all the time, and I have a question about something I just bought. I went to my local store last weekend to pick up a Klobo sofa but ended up scoring an Ektorp loveseat in the As-Is section for 50% off. :) For only $30 more than what I was originally going to spend, I got a much nicer sofa, so I'm pretty excited! And I was happy to pick it up in white, the color I was after all along. Looking at the website it seems as if it's Blekinge white. Only thing is, according to the website the Ektorp loveseat isn't sold in that color. I was looking to see if I could get an extra cover since I'm sure a white sofa will be a magnet for stains. It's definitely not the beige color they sell the loveseat in, but a bright white. Is it a color that was just discontinued, and if so, does anyone know where I could pick up an extra slipcover before they're gone for good?

Thanks!

Replacement casters for Besta Jagra?

Hello! I have a Besta Jagra TV...

Hello! I have a Besta Jagra TV unit with casters. I recently moved, and the casters got broken in the moving truck, so I went to my local IKEA store yesterday to see about getting replacements for it. I found the Besta replacement casters and got some of them, but when I got home I realized that the replacement casters were not the same as the original ones; though the wheel part looks exactly the same, the method they use to connect to the unit is entirely different. As you can see in the PDF of the instructions, the original wheels attach using four screws and a metal plate (http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/ikea-...tructions.html). The replacement ones that I got (IKEA | TV solutions for flatscreen TVs larger than 37" | BESTÅ/FRAMSTÅ/INREDA storage system | BESTÅ | Caster), however, connect via a washer, nut, and a single long bolt. There were no other replacement casters in the Besta section of my local IKEA that could have been it, at least that I noticed.

So, I am wondering if anyone else has had to find replacement casters for the Besta Jagra, and if so, how you found them. Did I just miss them at the store? Or, is there a way to make the replacement ones that I got work with the existing Jagra bottom?
