I'm purely looking for some helpful input.

We just spent over $13000 in less than a month at Ikea for our kitchen cabinets, Nutid fridge, Framtid stove, micro wave, and Nutid dishwasher.

In less than 5 wks (Oct 11/09) the dishwasher control panel quit working. Called Whirlpool and the repair place told us it needs a new control panel, but they can't order the part # W10199605 - as it isn't yet available. They estimated at least 2 months before it might be available.

Called Ikea - they said it's a whirlpool issue. After requesting to speak to a manager - it took until Nov 5th for one to call and she was to email a response - haven't heard anything yet.
Called Whirlpool district rep - they said Ikea is supposed to arrange for replacement.
There are many more emails/phone call inquires to both and here we are Nov. 19.

Any ideas short of seeking legal advise?

Does anyone know why Ikea quit selling the 37" Hjuvaik sink faucet set? I really like the tall spray set but all I can find now is the smaller set at 17 inches that just does not compare. Is there any way to continue receiving an item once it no longer appears in Ikea's stock? I do custom installs and the little set just doesn't work. I can switch to Dornbracht but they sell for 2k!!!:o

I'm installing all pax cabinets, shelves, hanging rods etc. in a walk in closet. The walls are old and built badly with beams and supports placed unevenly. I have no young children around. If I attach the pax cabinets together, do I really have to anchor them to the walls? They seem really heavy, so I'd think they would stay where they're supposed to stay. Am I wrong?

I am looking for Ikea's Pax Oslo doors to replace two damaged doors on our wardrobe system. We had water damage,..uhg! We really love the look of the Pax Oslo doors and Ikea doesn't have them anymore. Any info on where I can acquire two doors would be appreciated. Thanks!
