i came here because the gallery slideshow stinks. why don't photos sets automatically slideshow if you click the link? instead i always link to slideshow search...
Hi choqokat! I moved your post to it's own thread so that it will get the attention it deserves.
I agree that the slideshow is a little bit non-intuitive. It brings you to a search because it doesn't automatically know what you want to see in a slideshow - you have to tell it. That's what the search is for - you define the parameters for the show in the search function, then you can view your slideshow.

i really don't think this should have been moved. the search function is kinda obvious, so my opaque question pertained to getting the slideshow to work *automatically* for ikeafans.com 2008. just sayin'.
Ah...I see. Still, the fact remains that the slideshow has no idea what you want to see a slideshow OF until you tell it. It's like saying that the DVD player ought to automatically play a movie when you turn it on. It doesn't know what you want to see until you put something in...same thing.

Would some explanatory text at the top of the search make it clear that that's why you get the Search page when you click on Slideshow?

Ok...wait a minute. It's time for my mid afternoon coffee..... You want SETS to run as a slideshow when you click on slideshow. That might be doable, since it's already pre-defined. My apologies for seeming as dense as a rock. No promises, but I'll check with the powers that be about how that code is defined...

From what I understand this will be an easy Yes!, and it's done immediately or no way. Even if it's a maybe it would be quite some time to implement due to development priorities. I'll let you know what I find out!
