I've been trying to embed pics from Flickr in my blog.
It seems like if I copy the URL from the address bar and use that as image link, it appears as a broken link in the blog (red x).
The only way it seems to work is within Flickr to click on "all sizes" and use the pic URL. But that way the pics are huge and unmodified (i.e. if you rotated them in Flickr they appear unrotated).
Right click on the picture when it's the size I want to display in flickr. Select properties. Copy the link (ctrl-c)
Click on the "Insert Image" above - it's yellow with a mountain on it. Insert the link you saved above (ctrl-v)

I didn't read well... in your blog it's slightly different but you basically need to find the picture that is the size you want to display. If they're too big, you can click on "more sizes" in flickr to show the other sizes available. Right click on those to get the link... I hope that helps and isn't too confusing.

In Flickr, I right-click on the thumbnail of the photo I want and select "copy image location". Then back in my post or blog, I click the "Insert Image" icon yellow box with mountain and paste the link in the window that says "Please enter the URL of the image."
This doesn't allow the user to click to enlarge the image, which is somewhat limiting.
Also, if you want to show a larger display of the image, I think you do need to double click the image in Flickr and select the size.
Click on "all sizes"... but DON"T grab that URL or it will be huge and not show any edits you made (e.g. rotation). But you then click on the "size" you want (small, medium, etc.) and use that URL below.
Is there a way to direclty link from Flickr? It says if you have a blog on Blogger or Typepad you can "push" the photos there automatically. I'm not sure what software powers this blog though.
Actually the system here is quasi-proprietary, but as the folks that were developing it are no longer doing so, we haven't had any improvements in quite a while .
On a positive note, the main reason Susan and I haven't been as active as normal recently is that we've been frantically working on an expansion to the site which will allow us to offer much more capable/interesting features outside of the forums and one of the things we've been working on is a replacement for the Blogs. One of the things that the new system may well have in the Blogs is a Flicker module so you can show flicker pictures directly.
Hopefully we'll be able to start beta testing soon and folks can get a look at what IKEAFANS 4.0 will look like .
