| Ridiculously Tight Kitchen Sink Installation
I'm trying to replace a laminate countertop that is so old it's raining shredded wheat-type bits of particle board onto my kitchen floor.
I want to use the Numerar countertop, and I think I can probably handle the cuts (carefully) using a jigsaw, but I'm concerned about getting the placement of the sink cut-out exactly right. The cabinets in my tiny studio apartment seem to be custom fit to the space between the refrigerator and the stove, and the sink just BARELY fits down into the compartment allotted for it.
If I can pull out the old (shredding) laminate top in one piece, I can use it as a template, but my guess is that puppy is going to bust the second I try to pry the sink off of it.
Any suggestions? Am I foolish to attempt this on my own or should I bring in a pro? I'd hate to waste a perfectly good piece of countertop!
