So we are about to install a single bowl apron sink from Ikea into the spot shown in the photos at the bottom of the page. Can anyone tell from the photo what size cabinet is below the sink? We have not closed on this house yet and I did not measure it when the photo was taken as we had not picked out a sink yet.
Butcher blocks are going in as well!
I think the sink is 24"

You're talking about the oak kitchen with the black appliances? That looks like a 30" cabinet to me. But there's no reason you can't use the single Domsjo in that cabinet, if you're prepared to do a bit of pre-install prep work to get the cabinet ready to accept the sink, and some post-install cosmetic work to cover over the gaps between the sink and the cabinet frame.
Thanks. That is the one. We are planning on stripping the finish on the cabinets and painting them, along with a lot of other items. You can't see it in the pics, but the cabinets are pretty nicked up and need some work.
I was pretty sure it would fit it we cut the top of the cabinet box so the front could stick out. If we are careful with the cut on the box I think the sink will stick out past the front of the cabinet about 2-3 inches which will hide the cut on the bottom.
Any idea how we can fill the gap on the front of the cabinet once the sink is in? I was debatign on taking a jigsaw and cutting out a new front that would go in place of the two panels on the front of the cabinet.

If you can remove the false fronts without too much damage, you could probably use those - that way, you have the same finish detail on the edges that is present on the other doors and drawer fronts.
Typically, those things are held in place with either spring clips or some screws, and should be too difficult to remove when you demo that cabinet.
You can make a template out of cardboard, which is fairly easy to do, even if you have to try it a few times before it's a good fit. The cardboard is cheap and easy to come by. And since you're painting the cabinets, the fit doesn't have to be perfect, because you can use a little caulk to fill gaps, etc., then paint over it.
Without knowing the exact structure of that cabinet, I can't say for sure how to attach those pieces, but a couple of "L" brackets on either side should do the trick.
