I see many Ikea Fans talk about the option of changing out the doors on IKEA kitchen cabinets if you change kitchen styles or just change your mind.

My question is how expensive is it to do this? Since the resources I have (online and a kitchen catalog) only refer to the cabinet package prices, I'm not sure what the cost of the doors is in relation to the complete cabinet price.

For example, a 36" Base Cabinet for a Cooktop with 2 drawers is $209 with Lindingo doors. Or a 36" Sink Base Cabinet with the 2 drawer fascia and 2 doors is $155 with Lindingo.

Anyone know what the cost of the doors would be to replace them with say the dark wood Liljestad style?

While it is possible to replace all the doors of IKEA cabinets, you also need to consider the cover panels, filler strips, toekicks and colour of the cabinet. Usually people choose the birch frames with wood doors - they may not look quite as good with a white door (and vice versa). It can all be done, but there is more work than swapping the fronts.
