Hello. I have an IKEA queen size bed that is missing some of the center rail hardware. The bed was moved last year and when we went to put it back together the 4 'bolts' and one of the 'L' shaped brackets that holds the center rail to the head and foot board was missing. The bed is circa 1997. I have iKEA catalogues going back 5 years but the center rail hardware was changed prior to that. I have been to 4 IKEA stores to see if there were any old hardware around but no luck. The 2 stores in MD that I drove to were the most helpful. Also there is not a mention of the bed style anywhere on the frame. If I can get a catalogue that would be helpful. Thank you in advance for any help.
Hi Paul: Are you looking for the catalog so you can determine the name of the bed ? If so, can you post a photo of the bed - perhaps then someone will remember - or possibly even have the bed in their home and know its' name.

Hello and thanks for the quick response. Yes that is why I am looking for a catalogue from that era, so I can get the name of the bed. When I went to Ikea I was not able to tell the customer service that information. The bed was purchased in the late 1990s. It is in good condtion still but am not able to use it with the missing hardware. I disassembled it but can put it back together. It is a light colored wood frame and it has a wooden piece that hooks into the headboard with two circular hooks that go around each bedpost.

I'll be able to get to my catalogs tomorrow night, and will take a look then. Even if you have the name of the bed, its age may mean the hardware's not available. But let's wait and see what I can find tomorrow.
Sounds like it might be the correct one. I have some pictures of the headboard. Looking at the pics from left to right, 1. Headboard, 2. Bracket on Headboard (and footboard). 3. Headboard with insert installed. 4. L shaped bracket, the only one found after the move. There is is another L shaped bracket that is missing, plus 4 "bolts" with flares on each end (2 for headboard and 2 for footboard). If you have these items I will gladly pay for them. Thanks again for your help.
I didn't get a chance to check my stash, but will tomorrow. If all else fails, there are ways around the missing hardware, but that's for a future discussion.
OK thanks. I hope that you have the correct hardware because last year I was able to get the next generation (not the latest) center rail and hardware from an IKEA in Maryland. The only issue is all the original hardware on the
bjorkvalla
be will have to be removed, new holes drilled in the headboard, footboard, and side rails in order for the newer center rail and hardware to fit. I was concerned that if I made an error that the bed would be ruined for sure.
